Terms of Service
Last updated 4 November 2026
Plain rules for a simple product. Read the short version, or the whole thing below.
This agreement
These terms apply whenever you visit youtubeapi.io, use the YouTubeAPI.io console or call the YouTubeAPI.io API. In this document, “YouTubeAPI.io”, “we” and “us” refer to Prism Digital, LLC (131 Continental Dr Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, US), the operator of those services, and “you” means the person using them. If you use YouTubeAPI.io on behalf of a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that company.
If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the service.
What the service does
YouTubeAPI.io returns information that is publicly visible on YouTube: public videos, watermark-free media streams, public profiles, public comments, public follower relationships, trending feeds, sounds, challenges and commercial ad creatives.
YouTubeAPI.io is an independent developer infrastructure provider and has no partnership or affiliation with YouTube Inc. or Google LLC
Your account and API keys
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract.
- The details you give us when you sign up must be accurate.
- Your API keys work like passwords. Store them securely and rotate a key as soon as you think it has leaked. Every request made with your key is billed to your account.
Credits and billing
YouTubeAPI.io uses a unified credit ledger ($1 = 10,000 Credits, 1 Credit = $0.0001). You top up your balance or purchase a monthly plan by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, and Google Pay via Stripe with automatic official PDF invoices and VAT/Tax ID support) or cryptocurrency through our payment processors, and each successful billable request (code === 0) is deducted at the rate shown on the pricing page. Pay-As-You-Go credit packs never expire.
If we change our prices, the new rate will be published on the pricing page before it applies.
We may also grant promotional credits, such as 2,000 free trial credits to qualifying new accounts at sign-up. Whether an account qualifies is decided by automated abuse checks. Promotional credits are spent before your paid balance, earliest expiry first, and each grant expires 60 days after it is issued; any unused part is then void. They have no cash value and cannot be refunded, withdrawn or transferred.
Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use YouTubeAPI.io, or data obtained through it, to:
- harass, stalk, threaten, dox or intimidate any person;
- single out people based on sensitive characteristics such as health, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or political views;
- run spam, fake engagement or coordinated manipulation campaigns;
- try to obtain non-public data, get around our access controls or rate limits, or use someone else’s API key;
- disrupt, overload, probe or reverse-engineer our systems;
- break any law, or infringe anyone else’s rights.
The service may not be used from, or for the benefit of anyone in, countries and regions under comprehensive sanctions, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Your responsibility for the data
You choose what to request and what to do with the results. Public videos and profiles can contain personal information about creators and commenters, so it is up to you to have a lawful basis for processing it and to follow the privacy and data protection laws that apply to you, as well as any platform rules that apply to your use.
Availability and changes
We work to keep YouTubeAPI.io fast and available, but we cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Data on YouTube changes constantly, and responses reflect what was publicly available when the request was made. We may add, change or retire endpoints and features, and we may take the service down briefly for maintenance.
Suspension and closing an account
You can stop using YouTubeAPI.io whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account, without advance notice where necessary, if it breaks these terms, puts the service or other customers at risk, or if the law requires us to.
What happens to an unused balance is described in the Refund Policy.
Ownership
The YouTubeAPI.io software, API design, documentation, website and brand belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing. They do not give you any rights in content published on YouTube, which belongs to its respective authors.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us because of how you used YouTubeAPI.io or the data you obtained through it, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover the resulting losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees.
Changes to these terms
These terms evolve with the product. Check the “last updated” line for the current version. If you keep using YouTubeAPI.io after a change takes effect, the revised terms apply.
